Broncos place Rahim Moore on IR; safety Michael Huff signed
DENVER — The Denver Broncos placed safety Rahim Moore on the injured reserve list Tuesday, one day after he had emergency surgery for a lower left leg injury.
The team says it signed free-agent safety Michael Huff to replace him.
Moore was diagnosed with lateral compartment syndrome, which is a potentially dangerous bleeding of the muscle.
The Broncos say Moore’s IR status is designated to return. That means he must sit out six weeks, at which time he can start practicing. He’ll be eligible to play in a game in eight weeks if he’s ready.
Huff was with the Baltimore Ravens earlier this season, including the game against the Broncos. Baltimore cut him in October.
