Denver Broncos knock off Kansas City Chiefs, 27-17
DENVER — Undefeated no more.
The Denver Broncos handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season Sunday night, winning 27-17.
The Broncos rose to 9-1 and further strengthened the case that Denver is the team to beat in the AFC this season.
The biggest question going into Sunday night was whether the Broncos could protect quarterback Peyton Manning and his sprained right ankle from Kansas City’s vaunted defense.
The answer came as a resounding “yes” – Manning was barely touched all game.
But the issue isn’t settled yet. After hitting the road to take on Tom Brady’s Patriots next Sunday, the Broncos face the Chiefs again on Dec. 1 – this time at Arrowhead Stadium.
