EAST SIDE, Ind. — A pee wee football coach was fired after he reportedly bullied one of his young players online.

The 8-year-old Indiana boy’s mother took matters into her own hands after she said she noticed her child was bullied by his coach on Facebook.

“I’m not gonna let some 40-something year old man sit there and bully an eight-year-old child,” mom Sarah said.

The mother has come forward after she says the coach went after her young son off the field.

It happened on Facebook after the 8-year-old’s parents spoke up about him being kept out of a game. They say the coach posted comments demeaning and degrading their son. That post has since been deleted.

“It’s childish, it’s immature and it makes me sick,” Sarah said.

After hearing about the post, the issue was taken to the league president, Bill Daniels.

“We just don’t condone that kind of behavior at all,” Daniels said, “C’mon, this is pee wee football.”

Daniels spoke to several parents who saw the post, and said the coach will not be allowed back at Christian Park.

Sarah said she’s relieved the league is responding, and wants other parents to pay attention to coaching, especially when it comes to their younger kids.

“That’s why I’m getting my voice spoken out, so everybody can know it’s not fair,” Sarah said. “It’s not right, so stick up for your children.”
