Woman with baby stabbed during robbery near Light Rail station

DENVER -- A woman with a baby was reportedly stabbed during a robbery Sunday afternoon near the Light Rail station at 30th and Downing streets, the Denver Police Department reported.

The woman was walking from the Light Rail station and was about five blocks away when the attack occurred, police said. She suffered non-life-threatening wounds, and the baby was unharmed, police said about 2:30 p.m.

The victim described the suspect as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man standing about five feet, 10 inches tall and wearing a Denver Broncos cap, long-sleeved blue shirt and black Dickies pants.
