PARKER, Colo. — A man who was on probation for sexually assaulting a child was sentenced on Tuesday for sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s 10-year-old daughter at his home in Parker, according to investigators.

Jose Nael McCarthy-Dawson, 33, was sentenced to 10 years to life in prison on one count of sex assault on a child in a position of trust. Dawson, a registered sex offender, was on a lifetime probation after pleading guilty to sexually touching a child in 2005.

According to the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Dawson was trolling the internet looking for a new victim. After he started dating a woman he met on the website Airg.com, authorities say he asked her if she had any children. Dawson then sexually assaulted the woman’s 10-year-old daughter.

Dawson allegedly told the victim that she could not tell her mother about the assault. After the 10-year-old got the courage to tell her mother, she notified Parker Police. Dawson was arrested immediately and prosecuted.

“Perverts online start working their way into your home the second you decide to friend them,” 18th Judicial District Attorney George Brauchler said. “Dawson deserves a lifetime of prison where his social media access will be limited to the felons he meets in the cafeteria.”

Perhaps such people should be put to sleep when they cannot cease such behavior – just for the protection of children.

Parents, teach your children that they must say NO and run to them if an adult or older child wants/tries such intimacy.
Yes, this would be difficult to explain and teach.
