DENVER -- Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has appointed a "chief recovery officer" to oversee the rapid rebuilding efforts that need to take place in flood disaster areas of the state.

The task Jerre Stead faces is a huge one, but the executive chairman of Colorado-based IHS is ready to lead the recovery.
