Children’s Hospital gets $250,000 grant from Hyundai for cancer research

DENVER — Children’s Hospital has been given a $250,000 grant from Hyundai for cancer research.

The hospital announced the grant Friday and the money was officially presented during a ceremony at the hospital.

The grant specifically goes for work Dr. Christoper Porter is doing into combating drug resistance in certain types of leukemia.

The money comes from the Hyundai Hope On Wheels program and is part of 41 grants totaling $10.2 million the program is donating to institutions across the country.
