DENVER — Eight people were displaced by a fire that badly damaged a duplex in northwest Denver early Tuesday morning.

According to the American Red Cross, the fire broke out at a home in the 3800 block of Shoshone Street in Denver’s Highland neighborhood sometime after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Three vehicles were damaged by the blaze, as well. One motorcycle completely exploded shortly after it went up in flames.

The Red Cross was assisting the eight displaced residents, finding them a place to stay in addition to providing food and clothing.
