Male cyclist dies after colliding with semi-truck in Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. — A man was killed after he was struck by a semi-truck while riding his bicycle Tuesday morning.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, a man and a woman were riding their bikes heading westbound on Valmont Road, when a semi going eastbound turned left in front of them.

The male cyclist reportedly couldn’t stop in time to avoid the truck, and was hit by the rear end of the semi.

Troopers did not say who was at fault in the accident, and were investigating the scene.

The identity of the male cyclist was not released.
