AURORA, Colo. — A pair of water main breaks in Aurora are expected to back up traffic through the morning rush hour on Friday.

According to City of Aurora spokesperson Gabrielle Johnston, the breaks will restrict westbound traffic on East Alameda Avenue down to one lane near South Havana Street through the entirety of the heavy traffic period Friday morning.

There has been no reason given as to the cause of the water main breaks in the area, but crews could clearly be seen working to get the problem under control from SKYFOX.

Johnston went on to say that eastbound traffic on Alameda would not be affected by the road work, but that avoiding the general area of the breaks will likely be a good idea.
