DENVER -- A woman had the scare of her life when two men wearing masks stormed into her home in broad daylight.

Police say the home invasion happened at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the 4700 block of High St.

The 26-year-old victim says they made a mistake. They stormed in demanding drugs that she didn't have. Nevertheless, police say she was tied up and assaulted. Her home was ransacked

Investigators say she does not have any history of arrests or trouble with the law.

The woman was treated and released from the hospital. She returned home briefly to retrieve some belongings, and then left to stay someplace where she feels more safe.

Police say the two suspects ran out of the back of her house, while the victim ran to a neighbor's home to get help.

Robbery detectives were called to the scene. The suspects remained on the loose Thursday night.
