NEW YORK — An air taxi crashed while taking off from the Soldotna Airport in Alaska on Sunday, killing all 10 people on board, the Central Emergency Services said.

“There were 10 souls on the aircraft and all perished,” said Capt. Lesley Quelland.

The National Transportation Safety Board said it will investigate what caused the de Havilland DHC-3 Otter to crash.
