DENVER — Police in Brighton have identified a suspect in a hit-and-run outside a party Sunday morning. Two people were injured.
According to a Brighton Police press release, Isaiah Phillip Twito, 21, of Thornton is being sought in connection with the incident.
The party took place in the 2400 block of Purcell Place. Witnesses claim that two men who were becoming quarrelsome got ejected from the event. After that, events got out of hand.
Around 4 a.m., a window was shattered by a rock thrown at the home where the party was taking place. The next thing party-goers heard was an automobile being driven erratically.
Witnesses report seeing a blue Honda crash into another Honda and then continue to drive recklessly around the neighborhood. In addition to damaging property, the car struck two men, who required medical attention at a local hospital.
Brighton Police are looking for Twito and the vehicle he drove, which was allegedly stolen. Described as a blue 2000 Honda sedan, the car may have Colorado license plate 251-TOL. Twito is a Hispanic male, with brown hair and eyes, standing about 5’8”, weighing about 145 pounds.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Det. Erica Ruybal at 303 655-8746, or local police.
