Tornado watch issued as severe storms move across plains

DENVER --After a sunny day in the metro area, a Tornado Watch was issued for Cheyenne, Phillips, Yuma, Kit Carson, Sedgwick, Washington, and Logan Counties until 11 p.m. Saturday night.

Storms on the eastern plains have the possibility of producing large hail, strong winds, heavy downpours, lightning, and even tornadoes.

Temperatures on Sunday will be slightly cooler, with a better chance for showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.

Monday will be similar, and the weather will dry out and warm back up by Tuesday with highs in the upper 60s.
