DENVER — Many of us have medicine cabinets with leftover prescription drugs. This weekend, a national initiative called Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is being held to encourage people to turn in their old drugs instead of throwing them out.

It’s an environmentally safe way to dispose of drugs and keep them from falling into the wrong hands on the streets.

Denver, Fort Collins, Jefferson County, Aurora and other cities are taking part on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
