DENVER — Black Hawk police arrested two men Thursday following a robbery that left a woman with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Around 2 a.m., a 19-year-old man approached a car with two people inside and pointed a gun at the driver, police reported. A struggle ensued and the gun went off, hitting the female passenger in the leg. Another 19-year-old man then dashed to the passenger side of the car and took the female’s purse. The two suspects fled in another vehicle.

Central City and Black Hawk police later caught the two suspects. The female victim was transported to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
