Pet owners are being warned about a popular medication used for dogs after surgery. It can kill their pets.

A Colorado man spent four years in litigation with the drug maker Pfizer over Rimadyl. The drug is a pain reliever.

His dog Sophie died following surgery on her leg. The man and his attorney from the Animal Law Center believe the medication led to the dog's death.

The company and the man finally reached a settlement in the case.
