DENVER — There won’t be much in the way of thawing Monday, but there will be plenty of sunshine.

With a single-digit start to the week and highs today only in the upper 20s, we’ll have to wait until at least Tuesday, when highs will finally crawl above 40.

A few snow showers are possible for the central and northern mountains Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Clouds may linger in the Denver metro on Wednesday.

Warmer weather will prevail Thursday through Sunday with highs climbing back to near 60 for the weekend.  There is a chance of rain showers Saturday and Sunday.
