Lodo’s Keggs and Eggs party goes green in Denver (PHOTOS)
DENVER — St. Patrick’s Day isn’t until Sunday, but for many local scenesters the real party started bright and early Friday morning at the annual Keggs and Eggs bacchanal.
Held at Lodo’s Bar and Grill downtown and sponsored by KTCL FM, green-clad merrymakers line up around midnight each year in order to secure a spot once the doors open at 7 a.m. As one might imagine, the crowd was in fine spirits Friday by the time Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, ZZ Ward and The Nuns of Brixton each took a turn on stage, all well before noon.
With perhaps the most beautiful day of the year dawning, the packed house was already closing down by early afternoon to give everyone a chance to recover for the long, green weekend ahead.
