BOULDER, Colo. -- Highway 93 was closed in both directions for a short time early Monday morning after an SUV crashed into a snowplow between Golden and Boulder.
A Colorado State Patrol spokesperson said the accident was reported around 4 a.m. and took place about 10 miles south of Boulder and just south of Highway 128. The accident closed Highway 93 in both directions for about 45 minutes while crews cleaned up the scene.
Though the wreck likely totaled the SUV, it resulted in no serious injuries.
FOX31 Denver' Shaul Turner said CSP suspects ice and slush that had accumulated on the side of the road after the past weekend's snow storms likely caused the wreck. Turner reported there were several state troopers in the area pulling drivers over for speeding.
