LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Police continue to investigate the homicide of a well-known and respected attorney after a cleaning crew discovered her body in a Lakewood office building on Tuesday.
It’s a murder that is sending shock waves through the Jefferson County legal community.
The victim has been identified as 66-year-old Claudia Miller. She had a family law practice on the third floor of the office building at 445 Union Boulevard where she was found murdered.
Lakewood Police spokesperson Steve Davis said that a cleaning crew discovered the body around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday night. Though the manner of death is not clear, investigators believe it was a homicide because detectives indicated there was trauma to the victim’s body.
