DENVER -- An Estes Park man has been arrested in the December 2012 shooting death of 16-year-old Miranda Ann Casey, police said Thursday.

Thomas Decker Dodge, 20, was arrested Tuesday and charged with manslaughter, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and menacing, the Estes Park Police Department said. Dodge is being held in Fort Collins on $75,000 bond.

Casey died of a gunshot wound inside Dodge’s residence on Dec. 12.

"No investigation is identical and we take the time needed to thoroughly consider every piece of information in all of our investigations," Estes Park Police Commander Eric Rose told the Estes Park Trail-Gazette. "Given the complexity of this case, and in consideration of everyone involved, it's our responsibility to see this standard practice through."
