Taylor Farms issues E. coli recall for baby spinach

DENVER — Taylor Farms is recalling select brands of organic baby spinach because it may have been contaminated with E. coli.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced the recall Wednesday.

It affects spinach brands including the 5-ounce Marketside Organic, 5-ounce Simple Truth Organic and 16-ounce Taylor Farms Organic.

The recalled packages include the following information:

The packages were delivered to stores around the country and would have been available at grocery stores in Colorado.

There have been no reported illnesses or deaths attributed to the recall, said health department spokesman Mark Salley.

“Customers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume the products and should dispose of them,” Salley said.
