EDWARDS, Colo. — Westbound I-70 was closed near Edwards due to multiple accidents, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
CDOT reported the closure was set up at Exit 163 at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday. As of 11 a.m., the transportation agency said the interstate was expected to remain closed for four to five hours.
Exit 163 is about 15 miles west of Vail, between Avon and Eagle.
Drivers were being advised to use nearby Hwy. 6 as a detour.
