Colorado Springs man arrested after dangling toddler over balcony

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A man was arrested after he dangled a toddler over a third-floor balcony in Colorado Springs Saturday.
KXRM reported that police officers were called to the Citadel Apartment complex on East Bijou Street at approximately 3:20 p.m. after receiving a call that three children were in the care of a man who was extremely intoxicated.
According to the station, 28-year-old Mario Flores started dangling a 3-year-old boy over a third-floor balcony railing.
Police said there was at least one other responsible adult present at the time.
Officers were able to secure the boy, and the children have been returned to their mother, according to the station.
Flores faces charges of child abuse and reckless endangerment.
