COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – Police in Commerce City say they have located a 14-year-old boy who went missing Monday night.

Zach Kingston left his home around 5 p.m. Monday to go play football with some friends, his father told FOX31 News.

He was supposed to come home about 45 minutes later for dinner.

When Zach didn’t come home, his father called police around 8 p.m., who searched Zach’s neighborhood and surrounding areas Tuesday.

Commerce City police said Zach was found near Interstate 76 and 88th Avenue late in the afternoon.

Officers drove him back home to be reunited with anxious family members.

Zach’s father said it’s not unusual for him to disappear, but he’s never stayed out overnight.

It’s still not clear where Zach was for the almost 24 hours that he was missing.
