Denver police hold community conversation about chaotic chase and shooting
DENVER — Over at Denver Police District One Headquarters, they are calling it a “Community Conversation.”
Denver Police wanted to hear from residents to find out what worked and what did not after Wednesday’s car chase that ended in a shootout at 39th and Osage.
One suspect died and a Denver Police officer was wounded. Four other people were taken into custody.
About 30 people showed up and had mostly praise for the police effort in handling the chaotic situation that had crime scenes at numerous locations in northwest Denver.
Authorities answered questions and took down information in an attempt to improve in any areas of communication with the public during an emergency situation.
The meeting lasted about an hour.
