Pedestrian hit by 2 cars, police look for one hit-and-run driver
Police investigate hit-and-run at S. Federal Blvd. and W. Florida Ave. in Denver. Jan. 10, 2013
DENVER — Police were investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian with very serious injuries late Thursday night.
It happened at about 9 p.m. near S. Federal Blvd. and W. Florida Ave.
Police say two vehicles hit the pedestrian who was crossing Federal at Florida. One vehicle, a silver sedan, stopped a few blocks away.
The second car, described as a Subaru Impreza WRX did not stop. Police say a mirror left at the scene may be the key to finding that suspect.
Investigators issued a “Medina Alert,” which put the word out to Denver taxi cab drivers to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle.
Federal Blvd. was closed in both directions while police conducted the investigation.
