Couple finds notepads instead of iPad inside box
MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – A Virginia woman says she was duped Christmas morning when she opened the box for a new iPad and found notepads instead.
The notepads were stacked one on top of the other and one was taped to the box.
The iPad was bought from a local Walmart. Mary Liz Bergstein said she went to Walmart for a replacement, but was given the runaround.
After she contacted WTVR-TV and the station ran a story on the missing iPad, Walmart got a hold of the couple and gave them a new iPad.
WTVR reported similar incidents also happened to people in Texas and Michigan.
“It was the worst and best Christmas we’ve had before,” Mary Liz Bergstein said.
