COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Police arrested two men suspected of burglary Wednesday night after one of them shot at officers while fleeing by foot.
According to police, officers were called to a home on North Nevada Avenue Wednesday evening for a burglary in process.
The caller stated two suspects drove behind a home with a “No Trespassing” sign and were looking through windows with a flashlight. The caller claimed the two entered the home, exited and then left in their vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers contacted two potential suspects in a traffic stop. One was immediately detained while the other fled on foot. During the chase, at least one shot was fired by a suspect.
William Dandrea, 32, was arrested for attempted murder of an officer as well as an outstanding warrant for a parole violation.
