LONE TREE, Colo. – Police are looking for a woman and two other suspects who they say hit a mall valet attendant, and then led them on a police chase Saturday afternoon.

According to the Lone Tree Police Department, a woman stole merchandise from a JC Penny’s at Park Meadows Mall at approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday. When the woman left the store, police said she got into a maroon and silver 1996 Chevrolet pick-up truck with license plate 975 VNG that was waiting for her outside.

The truck was occupied by a white male driver and a black male passenger, according to police.

When a mall parking attendant tried to get the truck’s license plate number, that’s when officers said the truck accelerated and hit the valet.

Police have not released the valet’s identity or current condition.

Police said they confronted the suspects on Park Meadows Center Drive and Yosemite Street. When they refused repeated commands from officers, the suspects fled westbound on C-470.

Lone Tree police pursued the truck for a short distance, before they called of the chase in the interest of public safety.

Investigators are still looking for the truck as well as the driver and unknown passengers.
