Police search for man who disappeared after Christmas party
Luke Edwards
WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Divers spent most of Wednesday searching ponds surrounding the Westminster Westin hotel looking for a 36-year-old man who vanished without a trace over the weekend.
Luke Edwards, who was attending a construction company Christmas party at the hotel, has not been seen or heard from by his family since 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Westminster Police Department has not suspected foul play in Edwards’ disappearance while family members are holding out hope for his safe return.
“It is very difficult to have to be here, you hope for the best but you have to prepare for the worst,” said Edwards’ stepfather in an interview on Wednesday.
Edwards was reported missing by his girlfriend several hours after he never arrived to his hotel room to spend the night.
“His clothes, the keys to his truck and everything was still in the room from when he checked in,” added Edwards’ family.
Westminster police are asking anyone who may have seen Edwards to call investigators.
