Suspect arrested after man injured in shooting

AURORA, Colo. – Denver police arrested a suspect in a shooting that injured one person along the Denver/Aurora border Thursday night.

Police said a man was shot multiple times in East Denver but is expected to survive, police said.

The shooting happened near the intersection of E. 13th Avenue and Xenia Street around 6:45 p.m.

Police said the victim walked about 5 ½ blocks to a home on Boston Street near Colfax Avenue in North Aurora. From there he was taken to a hospital.

Police quickly arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting. The suspect’s name has not yet been released.

Police said they are looking into the possibility the shooting was gang related.
