KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is taking some heat for something that's commonplace for fans -- getting an autograph.
But Charles didn't get any autograph. He got Peyton Manning's. And it was after another loss for the 1-10 Chiefs at home.
Charles came up to the Bronco quarterback after the game last Sunday. The act was caught on video, and so was Manning's act to oblige him. Charles told Manning he was getting the autograph for his mother.
Some folks in the media are criticizing Charles, saying it's a bit unethical to ask for an opponent's signature, especially in public.
Others have come to his defense.
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster tweeted that he exchanges autographs with players after just about every game.
Charles did have a decent game against Denver, rushing for 107 yards on 23 carries.
