ARVADA, Colo. – Arvada police are looking for a man believed to have started fire to a house where his wife was staying.
Kenneth Lee Rascon, 30, is wanted on four felony warrants for skipping bail, said Arvada police spokeswoman Jill McGranahan. He has been charged with first-degree arson, burglary, felony animal cruelty, criminal trespass and numerous violations of protective orders, she said.
Police believe he set fire to a house where his wife, from whom he was separated, was staying. His wife and children had just left the home, but family pets were inside when the fire started, McGranahan said.
The family dog died in the fire and two other pets were injured, she said.
Rascon is a white man about 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Police have said he should be considered dangerous.
Anyone who may know about Rascon’s whereabouts is asked to call Arvada police at 720-898-6900.
