7-11 shooting leaves one in critical condition

DENVER – A man is in critical condition after he was shot outside a 7-Eleven store early Sunday morning.

Denver Police said officers were called to the 7-Eleven at 7675 E Colfax and Syracuse just before 3 a.m. Sunday, on reports of an altercation happening outside the convenience store. When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the parking lot who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators said there were several people in the parking lot when the altercation occurred, and the victim was shot during the dispute.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The identity of the suspect has not been released.
