Man robs bank, throws money in alley during getaway

DENVER — Police were searching for a bank robbery suspect who threw the cash in an alley during his getaway Friday.

The Denver Post reports the suspect went into the TCF Bank at 640 16th St. in downtown Denver and gave a teller a note that demanded money.

He took the loot and left in a dark tan or brown Honda Civic according to police.

The money was in a bag and he threw it into an alley between E. 14th Ave. and Logan St.

Detectives did not say if he acted alone or it they recovered all of the stolen money. They were also looking into the possibility that this suspect hit this same bank before Friday.

— Black male
— 6’0″ tall
— 210 pounds
— Black hat, jacket, black pants with white stripe
