DENVER — The man suspected of hitting and killing a resident of a north Denver trailer park early Friday morning has been arrested.

Police arrested 39-year-old Roberto Silva-Jaquez, who is being held for investigation of first degree murder.

According to police, the suspect was driving a Ford Bronco when he pinned the victim against a trailer in the Pioneer Village Trailer Park, located at 2901 West 63rd Avenue. A neighbor then pulled the driver out of the vehicle, at which point, he escaped and fled on foot.

Witnesses said Silva-Jaquez intentionally hit the victim, but police have not confirmed those reports.

The victim’s name has not been released by the Adams County Coroner.
