Video: CSU agriculture students produce Bieber parody to sing praises of farming
CSU Ag students sing praises of farming in Bieber parody video
Colorado State University students who are studying agricultural sciences produced a Justin Bieber video spoof that sings the praises of farming and eating healthy.
Could this be the way they get to “X-Factor?”
Members of the CSU Collegiate Farm Bureau club won first place and $1,000 in a Colorado Farm Bureau video contest for their creative take on Bieber’s hit “Boyfriend.”
Bieber sings, “If I was your boyfriend, I’d never let you go.”
The CSU farm advocates belt out:
If I was your farmer, I’d never let you starve
I’d feed you all your protein, calcium and carbs
I could be conventional – anything you want
If I was your farmer, I’d never let you starve
The video is part of an emerging trend of agricultural advocacy spearheaded by high-school and college students who want to praise and bring attention to the work of farmers and ranchers who feed the world.
Many of these efforts use social media to help advocate agriculture.
