Man returns home to find roommate stabbed to death
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. – A Wheat Ridge man returned home Saturday night to find his roommate had been stabbed to death, police said.
Police said the victim was found outside a home in the 4600 block of Miller Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim’s roommate told police he heard the dog barking in the backyard and when he went to check on the dog, he saw his roommate lying on the ground bleeding.
By the time paramedics arrived, the 26-year-old victim had already died.
Wheat Ridge police spokesman Lt. Wade Hammond said investigators conducted several interviews Sunday and they now believe they have a suspect in the case.
Hammond refused to name the suspect saying the investigation is still ongoing.
