"Glee" fans are anxiously awaiting the show's "Grease" episode, which is set to premiere on Nov. 15 right here on FOX31 at 7 p.m. And we had two of the show's biggest stars, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith, on for an interview with our Everyday crew on Wednesday.
Natalie and Parente started by asking why their (somewhat fictional) tryout for the show was turned down, asking if they were too old for "Glee." To that, Monteith promptly responded, "You're never too old for 'Glee.' I'm like 47." (He's actually 30.)
But that was the general theme of the interview, with Natalie and Parente, who remember the first time John Travolta squeezed into skinny jeans, asking the youngsters about what their take on the classic musical is going to look like.
For starters, we now know that this episode will feature "Grease Lightning," the original car from the musical. But aside from that, Monteith said Glee's interpretation will venture into uncharted territory.
"I think it's going to be a lot of what you're used to, a lot of what you know," Monteith said. "But we're taking a new spin on the show. We've turned 'Grease' on its head a bit."
