MESA COUNTY, Colo. – Three people were arrested Saturday in connection with a homicide in Orchard Mesa that happened on Monday, police said.
The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reported that Sadie Camis and Nathan Dennis, both 28, were arrested at 2:45 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of first-degree murder, and Aaron Ungles, 26, was arrested on suspicion of six felony counts of identity theft, and one misdemeanor count of theft of less than $500, according to the paper.
At about 11:30 a.m. Monday, dispatch was called after a passerby reported that a man was unresponsive in a wooded area near B 1/2 Road and 29 3/4 Road, according to the Sentinel.
Police identified the man as 38-year-old Rigoberto Luna, and the Mesa County coroner ruled his death as a homicide. Authorities have not yet released the cause of his death.
The paper reported that deputies found Luna’s dark blue Jeep Cherokee near Edlun Road behind the Mesa County Fairgrounds on Friday.
Ungles is being held in the Mesa County Jail on $7,500 bond, and Camis and Dennis are both being held without bond, according to a spokesperson with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
All three suspects have criminal records in the state of Colorado.
