Moped riders attempt drive-by robbery in Englewood, injure elderly woman
Police say two suspects on a Moped injured an elderly woman outside of this Englewood Walmart when they attempted to steal her purse on Oct. 19, 2012.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Witnesses at an Englewood Walmart told police they witnessed two subjects drive by an elderly woman outside the store on a “Moped” and attempt to grab her purse on Friday.
According to police, the woman went flying to the grounded after one of the two suspects grabbed her purse strap at approximately 6:20 p.m., causing the woman to strike her head on the pavement. The subjects continued to drive, fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
Police said the woman was transported to a nearby hospital and was treated for a head injury. She is in stable condition as of Saturday morning.
