Police investigating bloody SUV at north Denver truck stop

DENVER — Police were investigating a bloody vehicle at a north Denver truck stop Monday morning, and saying that a gunshot victim had been transported from the scene to a nearby hospital before authorities arrived.
The initial emergency call went out before 6 a.m. near East 50th Avenue and Street, but police later taped off an area around a gas station at 4979 Cook Street. They were investigating a black GMC Suburban that appeared to be bloody.
Denver Police believe that an individual was shot and transported to the gas station via the Suburban, then transported to a local hospital in a different private vehicle. Police are yet to confirm the identity of the victim or name a suspect.
Police are not providing information about the altercation that led to the shooting or giving any information about where it occurred.
