DU business professor talks about importance of economics in debate
DENVER — Economic expert Robert McGowan, a professor at the University of Denver’s prestigious Daniels College of Business, said economics will play a vital role in tonight’s debate.
And rightfully so, especially considering tonight’s setting.
“We still have a pretty high unemployment rate, particularly in Colorado,” McGowan said. “Romney is going to say we could do better in job creation, and there are going to be some Coloradans who agree with him. So it going to be an interesting split viewpoint.”
McGowan also said he was at an east coast conference recently at which he heard Colorado called “the swingiest of swing states.” Hear him elaborate about that statement in an interview with our Chris Jose in the video above.
