Residents concerned about slew of apartment break-ins
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – Residents of a complex that has become a hotspot for thieves are set to meet with police and apartment management on Monday to discuss the problem.
In the last month, residents of the Bridgewater Apartment complex near I-25 and Arapahoe Road have reported thieves breaking-in to steal their electronics and valuables.
“What caught my attention was all of a sudden, I heard a chair scooting,” said Paula Fabinao, a Bridgewater resident who reported seeing someone trying to sneak in through a sliding glass door.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning and a request to nearby residents to be on the lookout for a possible suspect:
- Black male
- 20-30 years of age
- 180 pounds
- Possibly wearing a traffic vest and carrying a backpack with orange spots
Concerned neighbors are set to meet with Greenwood Village police at 6 p.m. inside the Bridgewater clubhouse on Monday, September 24th.
