3 Aurora shooting survivors sue theater company
Century 16 theaters, Aurora, Colo. Sept. 21, 2012
Three people who survived the Aurora theater shooting on July 20 have filed lawsuits against the theater company.
The suits were filed on behalf of Brandon Axelrod, Denise Traynom and Joshua Nowlan.
They claim that Cinemark, the owner of the Century 16 theaters, was negligent in not hiring off-duty officers the night of the shooting.
It happened during a midnight showing of the premiere of the new Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises.”
