Entertainment Dish: 19-time Grammy winner Pat Metheny hits the Botanic Gardens
Forget the hard rock and the big hair. How about some good old school jazz?
That’s what you’ll get from Pat Metheny and his Unity Band playing the Denver Botanic Gardens this Friday night. The guy’s won 19 Grammy awards, including seven consecutive Grammies for best album. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $60.
Speaking of singers, it turns out Patti Labelle has paid up after a nasty temper tantrum. The disco diva was accused of cussing out a pregnant mom and her little girl in the lobby of a Manhattan apartment building.
She’s now agreed to pay $100,000 for the tirade. The mom who was dissed by Labelle says she’ll donate all that money to a children’s cancer fund.
