DENVER — This may be the Denver Broncos most hyped season in a very long time.
With Peyton Manning now in the driver’s seat fans are expecting big things. And whether or not the magic happens on the field, a group of chefs are making sure it does happen on your plate.
Executive chef Christopher DeJohn is taking the food at Sports Authority Field to all new levels.
“We do the Teriyaki noodle bowl and that’s become really popular across the whole stadium,” DeJohn said.
The bowls are made to order. And this fancy food isn’t just for those with fancy seats. Everyone at the stadium can now enjoy fresh, made to order cheese steaks, customizable Asian noodle bowls and more.
“We smoke our own prime rib and do our own briskets and we do a chuck roast, which is a little different than most,” DeJohn said. “We make our own pizza here, fresh pizza. So we’ll do about 600 lbs. of dough per game.”
There are hundreds of concession stands at the stadium and these chefs are sure they can please even the pickiest fans. But would you believe with gourmet tacos and liquid nitrogen root beer floats, sometimes the old classics still come out on top.
“Still the number one seller is hot dogs,” DeJohn said.
The chefs are also sure to have options for those with dietary needs like gluten-free and vegetarian and vegan.
