ARVADA, Colo. — Police are looking for a suspect after a car chase ended in an Arvada Target parking lot Friday morning.

According to Arvada police spokesperson Jill McGranahan, officers were in the process of making a traffic stop Friday around 4:50 a.m. at the intersection of Kipling Street and West 50th Avenue when they realized the car in question had been reported stolen.

The female driving the car then led officers on a chase that eventually ended in the parking lot of a Target near the scene of the initial stop attempt. Police were able to arrest the driver, but a male passenger was able to escape.

Police believe the man to be armed and are looking for him with a K-9 unit.
